Harleen Deol’s cheeky post celebrating Smriti Mandhana’s maiden Test century got a hilarious response from her

Indian women’s cricket team’s star opener Smriti Mandhana on Friday became the first woman in the country to score a century in Test cricket on Australian soil.

The 25-year-old Mandhana, who was 80 not out overnight, kept her composure and took 171 deliveries to score her maiden Test century during the second day of the pink-ball Test.

The southpaw was dismissed later, registering a score of 127 in 216 balls, including 22 fours and a six, at the Carrara Oval.

Indian cricketer Harleen Kaur Deol took to social media to celebrate her achievement with a cheeky post.

Deol posted a picture of Mandhana to celebrate her century and captioned it as – “Alexa please play: “Oh Haseena Zulfo Wali!!!” @mandhana_smriti.”

Mandhana herself gave a cheeky reply to Deol’s post,

“Alexa please keep @imharleenDeol on mute,” she wrote.

Mandhana had earlier said that she is not thinking of getting a century and that her main focus is on batting long.

During a virtual press conference on Thursday, Smriti said, “At the moment not thinking about the triple figure, the team needs me to bat well and in the process, if I get one… I just look at the ball.” I am and am responding.”

The Indian opener will also feature in the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) side Sydney Thunder this season as the defending champions look to begin their title defense next month.
