Happy Birthday, Arbaaz Khan: Actor’s movies with Salman Khan and Sohail Khan

Born on 4 August 1967 to legendary screenwriter Salim Khan, Arbaaz Khan grew up in the inner circle of Bollywood. His life revolved around films, so when he decided to be a part of the industry, it hardly came as a surprise to anyone. Arbaaz followed in the footsteps of his elder brother Salman Khan to become an actor with the release of his debut film Darr in 1996. She essayed the character of the psychotic wife-beater and won the Filmfare Award for Best Villain for her performance.

Later, his younger brother Sohail entered films as a director before making his acting debut with the 2002 release Maine Dil Tujhko Diya. In his career, Arbaaz has often collaborated with his brothers to work on several successful projects. As the actor celebrates his 54th birthday today, we watch some of his films with siblings Salman and Sohail.

Pyaar Kiya Toh Darna Kya

The first time the three Khan brothers got together for a film was in Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya (1998). While Sohail wore the director’s cap, Arbaaz and Salman were seen together on screen for the first time. The film revolves around Salman’s love story with Kajol and his efforts to allow his marriage to his brother (Arbaaz).

Hello brother

The Khan trio returned in 1999 with Hello Brother. The film featured Arbaaz in the role of a police officer and Salman as a courier delivery boy who is killed by his boss. After his death, Salman’s character returns to the world to avenge his death and help Arbaaz solve the cases. This film was a super hit.

Pride: Pride and Honor

Arbaaz was next seen sharing screen space with Salman in the 2004 release Garv: Pride and Honor. The film revolves around Arjun Ranawat, an honest cop, played by Salman, who takes on the corrupt in the system. Arbaaz played a supporting role of Inspector Haider Ali Khan, a member of Arjun’s team. The film was directed by Puneet Issar.

Arbaaz and Sohail’s pair first appeared on screen in the 2009 film Kisan. The real-life siblings played the role of brothers on screen in this film. Apart from acting in the film, Sohail also wrote its story. The film also starred Jackie Shroff and Dia Mirza in lead roles.

Dabangg

Arbaaz played the role of Salman’s on-screen half-brother in Dabangg which released in 2010. The film was also produced by him, and went on to become the highest-grossing film in history. Later, Arbaaz took up the role of director in his second installment Dabangg 2.
