After Hansika Motwani announced their engagement last year, there were reports that Sohail’s first marriage was to the actress’s best friend.
Hansika Motwani has responded to claims that she married her alleged best friend’s ex-husband Sohail Khaturia. The actress’ reality show, Love Shaadi Drama, streaming on Disney+Hotstar, not only showcased how the actress and her family prepared for the wedding but also addressed some of the allegations leveled against Hansika and her husband at that time. Earlier on the show, the actress shed some light on how she was trolled after announcing her engagement with Sohail. In an interview with Goodtimes, she talked about how she met her husband and how their relationship came to be.
After Hansika announced their engagement last year, there were reports that Sohail’s first marriage was to the actress’s best friend. It is said that Hansika also attended Sohail’s first marriage. The actress was then heavily trolled for stealing her best friend’s husband. Now, addressing the rumors about their relationship, Hansika said, “The whole story was written by the media- best friend, this friend and all… I was like ‘baap re (Oh my God)’.” She continued, “No, but he is my brother’s best friend. He has always been around us.
She explains how her relationship with Sohail began: “I think I have said the same thing in the series – yeh tha jhunka, anjana sa… isne baju mein toh main ghoomti thi (He was the unknown, enigmatic person who was always with her). was me)’. So, he was always around me. I think we both dated each other when we were around each other. He was my brother’s best friend, and then we became best friends, and that’s how it started.”
The actress says that many people told her that marrying her best friend is the most appropriate thing to do, but she was against the idea. However, his perspective changed after meeting Sohail. “When this happened to me, I was like, ‘I want to take my words back’ because marrying your best friend is the most comfortable thing that can happen in your life. I am just blessed,” says Hansika Are.
Earlier in the show, Sohail discussed how the rumors started. He said, ‘The news came out that I am already married and it came in the wrong light. It came across as if the breakup was because of Hansika, which is absolutely false and baseless.”
Sohail’s first marriage took place in 2014, but this relationship did not last long. He told that the speculation started because he and Hansika were friends at that time and someone saw pictures of them attending their first wedding.
On 4 December, Hansika married Sohail in a lavish wedding ceremony at the Mundota Fort & Palace in Jaipur.
