Gutha Sukhendra Reddy on Monday took over as the Speaker of the State Legislative Council for the second time in Telangana and took oath. With no other nominations filed, Gutha was unanimously elected as the President of the Council.
Among the several ministers who congratulated Gutha as the new chairman of the council were KT Rama Rao, Prashant Reddy, Srinivas Yadav Srinivasa Goud, Protem president Jafri, MLAs and MLCs. Earlier, the minister took Gutha to the chair of the council.
Gutha expressed his gratitude and thanks to Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for giving him the opportunity. Vidhan Sabha Secretary Dr V Narasimha Charyulu issued orders in this regard.
