Vadodara: A couple has been found near a child who was abducted last week from Navanagari in Waghodia taluka. A state in Eastern India Who had given Rs 4 lakh for this.
Vadodara Rural Police Gujarat Narendra Kumar Ranjan, who wanted a child for himself, Kalpesh Rathod, who was approached by Ranjan, Praveen Chunara, Chunara’s wife Daxa Chunara, Kalidas Waghri and Raman Rathodiya to carry out the kidnapping.
Police said Ranjan had approached Rathod for a child around six months as he and his wife had no children.
After this, Rathod, a resident of Panchmahal, contacted the Chunara couple living under the Fatehganj flyover bridge and searched for the child.
When the couple could not find the child, they contacted Waghri to find a child in Waghodiya, who is from their community.
Recently, Waghri came to know that a woman from his community living in a neighboring village had given birth to a child.
On October 21, he along with Rathodia planned to kidnap the child.
Late in the night when the family members of the child were sleeping, Waghri and Rathodia entered the house and took the child away.
She gave the child to the Chunara couple, who gave it to Rathod.
Ranjan and his wife were called to Gujarat and the child was handed over to them for Rs 4 lakh.
By the time the police arrested all the kidnappers, Ranjan and his wife had already left for Bihar.
After this a team of police was sent to Bihar and the child and Ranjan were brought back.
The child was handed over to his parents on Tuesday and all the accused were arrested.
