Telugu actor Thottampudi Gopichand’s Aradugula Bullet which proved to be a disaster at the box office has become a huge hit on the OTT platform. The film was released in theaters during the Dussehra festive season in October this year after a long wait of four years. Now after release on OTT platform Amazon Prime The video has become an action-drama hit. The film is in top trend on the platform in the last ten days.
The film debuted in 2015 and the film took almost seven years to release. The film is directed by B Gopal.
According to reports, Aradugula Bullet did a pre-release business of Rs 3 crore and the film earned Rs 1.63 crore at the box office. A total loss of Rs 1.5 crore is yet to be recovered. Overall, the film proved to be another disaster in Gopichand’s career.
However, this can be a relief for Gopichand as the film has been trending in the top 2 on Amazon Prime Video for the last 10 days. The film was sold by the makers to Amazon Prime for Rs 4.5 crore. The film is doing much better than what it earned in theatres.
Gopichand was recently seen in a superhit drama Sitamaar in September this year. The film was produced by Srinivas Chitturi under the banner of Srinivas Silver Screen. Sitamar was based on the story of how some young women from rural areas became champions fighting all odds. Gopichand was seen in the role of Andhra Women’s Kabaddi team coach and Tamannaah played the role of Telangana Women’s Kabaddi team coach.
South actor Gopichand is shooting for his next film Pakka Commercial under the direction of Maruthi. The film will release on Holi next year.
