“There will be a gap of two months for reporting, to give sufficient time for data processing and verification. In future reports, data related to impersonation and graphic sexual content complaints received after May 25, 2021 will be included, along with data to be removed as a result of automatic detection. We are committed to improving upcoming iterations of the report based on feedback from all stakeholders, including providing more granular data,” Google said.
The new IT rules ask critical social media intermediaries (SSMIs) to “publish periodic compliance reports every month, detailing complaints received and action taken, and the number of specific communication links or pieces of information that are required to be addressed.” The moderator has removed or disabled in pursuance of any active surveillance conducted using automated tools or any other relevant information as may be specified.”
