CNBC reported Friday that Google has paused construction of a massive campus in the Silicon Valley city of San Jose as it looks to rein in costs.

The Internet titan is scheduled to release its most recent quarterly earnings figures next week.

According to CNBC, a site in San Jose was approved for the Google “Downtown West” campus, with construction set to begin by the end of this year.

The report cited unnamed people as saying the project had been put on hold, with no word sent to contractors as to when it might resume.

An approved plan for the 80-acre (32 ha) complex includes office space, housing units and a public park, according to CNBC.
