Google Layoffs 2023: Employee Gets Fired at 2 AM, Was Feeding New Born Baby

New Delhi: Getting fired from a job you put all your energy into is a painful experience that is difficult to recover from. And this stress increases tenfold when you are carrying a newborn baby who is completely dependent on you for everything. A former Google employee experienced a similar situation when she heard about her dismissal at 2 a.m. while caring for her infant daughter.

But a few days later, at two in the morning on Friday, while feeding the child, she came to know that her job has been lost.

“At two in the morning on a Friday morning while babysitting my baby, I discovered I was no longer able to access my Google Business accounts. I received a canned email telling me I had been fired,” she said. ”

The former Google employee explained the experience and how it affected him, writing, “Every layoff hurts — the time of my encounter, however, not only felt intensely expendable to me, it made me morose.

Fortunately, many of my old co-workers have sent their well wishes and condolences while they are still navigating what I’m sure are turbulent times at Google. Naturally, my wonderful wife and my wonderful child have also been here to cheer me on and comfort me.

They have shown me that, despite any challenges I may be experiencing, I still have much to be grateful for.
