Goa: Surgeon booked for molesting patient in Mapusa Goa News – Times of India

Panaji: A renowned Orthopedist Surgeon From mapusa Mapusa police have registered a case of alleged molestation of a patient.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DYSP) Gajanan Prabhudesai said the woman had gone to the doctor for a medical checkup as she had some pain in her hip.
He said the doctors took the victim inside their clinic “without a female attendant”, and asked her to lie down for a checkup. After doing this, the woman alleged that the doctor took off her pants and pushed her hand when the doctor was about to reach her genitals.
Later, the doctor asked the woman to lie down on her stomach, the DSP said, adding that the woman then ran away from the clinic and got into her car and started crying, and told her partner about the incident.
Prabhudesai said the fellow went to the clinic and slapped the doctor, and later, the woman reached Mapusa police station to file a complaint. After this an FIR was registered against the doctor.
Prabhudesai said that the doctor has applied for anticipatory bail in a court.
