Ghaziabad: Man Of Minority Community Killed With Firecracker Shot In Private Part

In a distressing incident in the Jhandapur locality of Ghaziabad, a 40-year-old man lost his life after being shot with a firecracker gun in the private area.

The incident took place on the night of Diwali, where the accused, Pradeep, fired a cracker from an iron pipe beneath the hip of the victim, Afzal, also known as Natu.

Upon the occurrence, Afzal was swiftly rushed to a hospital, but, tragically, he succumbed to his injuries, as confirmed by Sahibabad Additional Commissioner of Police Bhaskar Verma.

The police investigation has led to the acquisition of CCTV footage capturing the incident.

Charges have been filed against Pradeep, who has been evading arrest since Diwali.

According to Verma, Afzal and Pradeep were known to each other, adding a layer of complexity to the unfortunate event.

Concerned about potential communal tensions arising from the incident, the police have deployed additional forces in the area to maintain peace, as reported by the ACP.

The search for the accused is ongoing.
