BTS Rapper RM Accidentally Shares Picture Of Him Smoking, Army Can’t Believe It – News18

BTS boy band member Kim Namjoon, better known as RM has earned the ire of his fans aka the BTS Army. Apart from his excellent rap skills, RM is known for his striking social media personality. The 29-year-old often keeps his admirers posted about his whereabouts, sharing nitty-gritty about his personal life. But, on November 11, his social media post whipped up a controversy on the internet. RM accidentally shared a picture of him smoking in public on Instagram, which left social media users divided. Although he deleted the photo soon after sharing it, eagle-eyed netizens managed to take screenshots of the photograph, circulating it online.

The picture captured RM, dressed in an all-black ensemble taking a puff from a cigarette kept between his fingers. He looked unrecognisable sporting a buzz haircut. RM was accompanied by another person, presumably his friend who was seen stroking the rapper’s head. He too shared a smoke with RM. According to reports, the lead BTS singer dropped the snap on his Instagram stories for a brief moment, before he deleted it. But it seems like he was not fast enough as the cyberspace population already got their hands on the snap.

X (formerly known as Twitter) users swamped the internet with various reactions. While some were put off by their favourite BTS member smoking cigarettes, others opined that it was perfectly okay since it was RM’s personal choice being an adult. “How did Kim Namjoon go from ‘I hate smoking, I hate the smell of cigarettes and smoke, I’m scared of lighters’ to smoking in the year 2023? What happened to RM? What an actual disappointment, his life has been crashing since his ex-boyfriend dumped him,” came a strong criticism. “Doesn’t make it ok or cool or whatever lame excuse fans are giving him. Also….so corny to post a smoke story, it’s giving it a try hard,” quipped another.

Standing in RM’s support a fan wrote, “People whatever say or write about you but I’ll support you always. He is an adult man and he has all the rights as a human being. It’s his life, please don’t hate him for any reason or without any reason”. “Ah, Here we go again. People forget that Namjoon and the rest of the crew are human… people expect perfection when they are flawed” another claimed.

Earlier, BTS members Jungkook and SUGA also received backlash from the masses after pictures of them smoking in public went viral.
