Shakun Batra’s next film starring Deepika Padukone, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ananya Panday has been titled ‘Ghehriyaan’. The film will be released on Amazon Prime Video. Deepika shared a glimpse of “Mere Dil Ke Tukde” on Instagram and revealed that the film will start streaming on Prime Video from January 25.
Ananya also shared the teaser of the film and wrote, “It’s time to go a little deeper.” Siddhant wrote, “They say you leave pieces of yourself in everything you do. May you find my heart here.”
On Sunday, Deepika Padukone, Ananya Panday and Siddhant Chaturvedi shared behind-the-scenes pictures from the film. The cast completed the shooting of the film in August this year. Deepika posted, ‘Yeah… it’s been a while. But as the saying goes… sometimes, the longer you wait for something, the more you appreciate it when it comes to an end! Hopefully the same is true here. I took that opportunity in what I think was really magical. And with love and immense gratitude in my heart, I can’t wait to share my labor of love with all of you…”
Though the project has been kept a complete secret, according to a report published in Bollywood Hungama in April this year, Deepika will be playing the role of a fitness trainer and enthusiast. A source quoted in the publication has said that despite the denial of the Dharma production team, many know that she will play a trainer in a “domestic noir drama”.
Talking about the story, the source said, “The story goes like this – Ananya Panday and Deepika Padukone play sisters in the film. While Deepika stars opposite Siddhant, Dhairya plays Ananya’s love interest. Shakun gets married. Tales of complicated relationships have always got a kick out of it and the complications come when Deepika gets physically involved with her younger sister Ananya’s partner Patience. The whole extramarital issue has been treated with a lot of sensitivity, ala typical Shakun. style and it’s an emotional watch.”
