Megastars Kamal Haasan and Vikram were also missing from the big screen. Actor Vikram has wrapped up the shooting of Mahan, but there is no information about its release yet.
But now, as things are slowly returning to normal, cinemas have also been allowed to function. In 2022, especially in the first quarter, several big releases are lined up south.
In early 2022, Ajith Kumar will be seen in a family-action drama, Valimai. The film is all set to release on the occasion of Pongal in 2022. Suriya’s next film in February will release on February 4.
For the viewers, the month of March will be a megastar package of sorts. Kamal Haasan, Bhagat Bachil and Vijay Sethupathi will be seen together on the big screen. Actor Vikram will also be seen playing an important role in this film next year.
Also, April will witness a mega alliance between actor Vijay and Sun Pictures. Kolamavu Nightingale and Nelson Dilipkumar have given two big hits and one of them was Doctor in 2021.
Vijay’s Master, Karthi’s Sultan, Dhanush’s Karnan, Sivakarthikeyan’s Doctor, and Rajinikanth’s Annaatthe were among the few films that released in theatres.
But the first four months of 2022 will see the release of Vikram’s Mahan, Dhanush’s Maran, Tiruchirambalam, Vishal’s Veerme Vagai Soodam, Lathi, Karthi’s Viruman, Shiva Karthikeyan’s Don. It is also being said that this release will compensate for the fall of 2020 and 2021.
