Nagpur Police’s Crime Branch on Friday arrested four alleged cricket bookies from Vidarbha. Cricket The Association’s (VCA) Jamtha Stadium is where the India-Australia Test is currently underway.

An official said the accused were sharing match information from outside the stadium to punters to capitalize on the short time gap between the actual developments on the field and their live telecasts.

He said that those arrested are residents of Mumbai, Bhandara and Nagpur.

The police officer said that an FIR is being registered against the accused at Hingna police station.
