Days after a 29-year-old food delivery agent was allegedly stabbed to death by two “Nihangs” in west Delhi, police are yet to arrest the second accused. Sagar Singh, who worked as a food delivery agent, died in a fight over cigarette smoking in Tilak Nagar area.
Raids are being conducted to arrest the second accused who is absconding after the incident. He will be arrested soon,” said a senior police officer. The incident happened around 12.30 pm on Wednesday. Welder Harshdeep Singh has been arrested in connection with the incident. The weapon of the crime, the knife, has also been recovered.
The left side of the chest of the deceased was stabbed. The accused and the victim did not know each other. An altercation ensued between the two, which led to the murder. Fateh Singh, a relative of the victim, had said that the victim is an introvert and has no enmity with anyone.
“We came to know that the fight happened when he was smoking a cigarette. They attacked Sagar and later stabbed him near his heart. His parents died sometime back and he is survived by his wife and a seven-year-old son. He was an introvert and never talked much as he had seen a lot of struggle in his life. “He had no enmity with anyone. His wife works as a laboratory technician. He was living in a rented house in the in-laws’ house. Sagar was working as a delivery agent for many years,” the victim’s relative had said.
