Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir LG Manoj Sinha on Thursday (July 14) informed that the Amarnath rescue operation has been called off and all the missing people have been successfully traced. Manoj Sinha said that for future they are planning for more safe pilgrimage as the matter has been taken up with the engineers and digital mapping of the holy cave will be done to make the journey safe. “The Surveyor General of India will conduct Digital Contour Mapping (DCM) of the Amarnath cave shrine and its surrounding areas so that steps can be taken to prevent human loss due to natural calamities,” Sinha said.

“I have requested the Surveyor General of India to do digital contour mapping of the Amarnath cave shrine and its surrounding areas.
