Five School Students Held for Sexually Assaulting Minor Girl

Five students studying in class 9th and 10th have been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting and videotaping their 17-year-old classmate here, police said on Tuesday.

Five children who opposed the law (CCL) were sent to juvenile homes. The victim was sexually assaulted in August this year by boys aged between 14 and 15, they said.

A police officer said that the boys and the victims are all friends. A release from the Rachakonda Police Commissionerate said the boys used to roam on the outskirts of their locality after school hours and used to watch pornographic videos in their mobile phones on which they craved for sexual desires.

Police said that to overcome his lust, his eyes fell on one of his classmates.

Police said that in August this year, in the absence of the family members of the girl, he forced her to have sex with him by threatening him at his house.

One of them captured the sex act by video recording it on a cell phone. After 10 days again two boys went and sexually assaulted her and recorded it in mobile phone.

When the act was shared with friends through an instant messaging platform, the girl narrated the entire ordeal to her parents, who approached the Hayathnagar police station on Monday and lodged a complaint against the boys.

Based on the complaint, a case was registered under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act and IT Act and the five CCLs were arrested within 24 hours, the official said.

The girl was sent for medical examination. The police officer said the boys were produced before the Juvenile Justice Board for further action, which sent them to a juvenile home on Tuesday.
