The England cricket team is to tour Pakistan for the first time since 2015 when they play a 7-match T20I series and three Test matches in September or October.

England and Wales five-man security team Cricket The Board (ECB) will visit Pakistan on July 17 to inspect arrangements and possible venues ahead of England’s tour of the country.

The England cricket team is to tour Pakistan for the first time since 2015 when they play a 7-match T20I series and three Test matches in September or October.

A senior Pakistan Cricket Board official said, “The delegation, which includes two cricket operations officers, two security experts and a representative of their Professional Cricketers’ Association, will visit Lahore, Karachi, Multan and Rawalpindi.”

The official said that this visit of the Reiki team is part of the regular inspection tour.

“The delegation will visit venues, team hotels and will also meet security officials to discuss travel plans for the England team,” the official said.

England was to tour Pakistan for five T20 matches last year but the ECB canceled the tour citing mental health issues of the cricketers. Days after the return, the New Zealand cricket team also abruptly canceled their tour for fear of “security threats”.
