Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada Police have recovered five grenades found in Ilantila village Beltangadi Taluk on Saturday.
Dakshina Kannada SP Rishikesh Sonawane Said a former soldier Jayakumar Poojary Called the police and informed that unknown people had left grenades near his house.
The complainant said that he saw the grenades near the barbed wire fence when he was walking towards his house on the earthen track.
While four grenades were found scattered, one grenade was in a yellow plastic cover.
He kept grenades at a safe place in his premises and called the police to prevent the damage caused by the explosives.
A case under sections 25, 1 (b) and 7 of the Arms Act has been registered at Uppinangadi police station.
