Fee dispute again in private schools Mysuru News – Times of India

Mysore: With the final exams approaching, some private unaided schools have again raised a controversy over fees. Mysore District.
The school management alleges that some parents are refusing to pay the fee claiming that offline classes were started recently. Meanwhile, the education department has warned of stern action for inhuman treatment of children.
On Tuesday, Public Education Department (DPI) officials visited a CBSE affiliated school in Mysore district after the school management allegedly denied permission to 16 students to write the annual examination citing unpaid fees. Representatives of school management, DPI officials and parents participated in the meeting.

But this is not an isolated incident. The father of a Class V student of a city school said that his daughter was asked to leave the class on Monday for Rs 5,000. “He was asked to leave the class in front of all his classmates. She was very upset after the incident. I had requested the school management to give us some time to clear the dues as I was on duty.
“The education department officials immediately intervened and ensured justice to my daughter. The officials were also surprised by the incident as the dues were very less. Still, this incident happened,” he explained to TOI.
Santosh Kumar, Mysore District Representative of Associated Management of Primary and Secondary Schools (cumso) said, there is another side to this problem. “For example, in my school, many parents are not even ready to pay the fees approved by the government. They come and create nuisance. They are not ready to listen to the rules,” he said.
