Now, Ajay Kapoor has signed international director Rotem Shamir, known for his globally acclaimed successes like Fauda, ​​Hit and Run, and Hostages among others, for the big-budget project, his Indian film debut. The makers earlier announced the project with a motion poster that caught the attention of the public, offering a glimpse of the patriotic film. Inspired by real events, Garuda presents a fictionalized depiction of a rescue mission in Afghanistan, based on the story of an ITBP officer and his team of special forces. Largely set up, filmmaker duo Ajay Kapoor and Subhash Kale are creating the best treatment for the ambitious film and hence, bringing in the best team possible.

Taking the first step towards the visionary objective, Ajay Kapoor has joined international director Rotem Shamir for his first Indian project.

Announcing the director, Ajay Kapoor shared, “Garuda is a huge project for me, I am emotionally motivated for the film and want to give it the best possible treatment. Rotem Shamir is a renowned filmmaker and has a fine experience in the sentiments we seek for Garuda. Rotem Shamir and I are planning different projects together as a team. Being from Israel and making a show about the conditions of the hostages, the understanding and foresight he has will certainly help us. We wanted someone to understand the emotional quotient as well as meet international sensibilities as the subject has a universal appeal. ,

Subhash Kale shares, “From the very beginning, we have been working on bringing together the best team for Garuda. We are working on all the avenues and I am really looking forward to this project.”
