Bachchan Pandey starring Akshay Kumar released in theaters on March 18. The film is a remake of Tamil blockbuster ‘Jigarthanda’ directed by Bobby Simha. Fans are hinting on social media that Bachchan Pandey’s story is closer to Varun Tej starrer Telugu film Gaddalakonda Ganesh, which is also a remake of Jigarthanda, but with some changes.
After the release of Bachchan Pandey, fans flooded social media with comparisons between Akshay Kumar and Varun Tej who made the better gangster. He has been comparing the two actors who had better style, swag and charisma on screen.

Akshay Kumar and Kriti Sanon starrer Bachchan Pandey is getting mixed response from both the audience and critics. The film is also doing good business at the box office. While the film collected Rs 13.25 crore on the first day, it saw a slight decline on the second day. The film earned Rs 12 crore on Saturday, taking the total collection so far to Rs 25.25 crore.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the detailed figures on social media. “#BachchanPandey is in the grip of unprecedented #TKF wave across the country… Mass circuits are stable but plexes remain low on Day 2… Need to improve my performance on Day 3… Fri 13.25 cr, Shani 12 Cr. Total: ₹ 25.25 Cr. #BharatBiz,” he wrote.
