“I don’t know what it’s like to wake up without him and I have for the past 8 days. I miss holding his hand,” Celine Colon told WESH 2 News. He is a wonderful, wonderful father. Wonderful husband brother, staff, everyone loves him,” said Koln. She says she is in critical condition due to injuries to her husband’s kidney, pancreas and intestines. “He’s struggling, he’s suffering. He’s in a lot of pain. He’s on a ventilator. His spleen is gone.” Don’t hold back because it could be a member of your family that you love,” Colon said.

Colon was at his brother’s house when a fight broke out during his nephew’s gender reveal party.

“A fight broke out and my husband went to stop the fight and then, while he was stopping the fight, someone came out of the car and shot into the crowd and my husband was killed,” Colon said.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office said the gunman fired several rounds and fled in a car.

Colon’s son, an ICU nurse, saw his father go downstairs.

“He took it out and he started putting stitches on the wounds, telling everyone what to do,” Colon said.

The family moved the family patriarch to AdventHealth East Orlando.

“It’s the hardest thing in my life. I’ve been with him since I was 15, so we’ve been together for 35 years and I don’t know life without him,” Koln said.

Joy Colon was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center.

“He is a wonderful, wonderful father. Wonderful husband brother, staff, everyone loves him,” Colon said.

She says her husband is in critical condition due to injuries to his kidneys, pancreas and intestines.

There have been no arrests and the family is just hoping for justice.

“If you know something, say something. Don’t hold back because it could be a member of your family that you love,” Colon said.
