What’s going viral Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday inaugurated Rani Kamalapati Railway Station (Habibganj) built at a cost of 100 crores in Bhopal. Now a post about Rani Kamalapati is going viral on social media.

It is being claimed in the post that Nizam Shah, husband of Rani Kamalapati, was a Muslim king. At the same time, Rani Kamalapati was his 7th Begum.

And what is the truth?

  • To know the truth behind the viral post, we got in touch with senior journalist Vijaydutt Sridhar, author of the book ‘Chautha Padav’.
  • Vijaydutt Sridhar told us that Nizam Shah was the son of 16th century Raja Suraj Singh Shah (Salaam) of Ginnaurgarh State. Nizam Shah was a fearless and courageous Gond king.
  • Sridhar further told that the name of the son of Queen Kamalapati and Nizamshah was Naval Shah. The claim that Nizam Shah was a Muslim king is completely false.
  • In the next phase of investigation, we contacted researcher and author of the book ‘Bhopal Nama’, Vartul Singh.
  • Virtul Singh told Bhaskar that the claim being made on social media with Nizam Shah is false. There is no doubt that Nizam Shah was a Gond king.
  • Vartul Singh further told that Nizam Shah had expanded the Gond kingdom during his reign. At the same time, Rani Kamalapati was his only wife.
  • During the investigation, we also found a post on the social media account of the Public Relations Department of Madhya Pradesh. In this post also, Nizam Shah, husband of Rani Kamalapati, has been described as the Gond king.

  • It is clear that the claim being made in the viral post on social media is false. Rani Kamalapati’s husband Nizam Shah was a Gond king. At the same time, Rani Kamalapati was his only wife.
