In January 2019, a new revelation has come to light in the case of the death of a girl child of DPS School, Bhopal. Delhi AIIMS has said in its report that the girl was physically abused. My daughter was eight years old. She studied in class 3 in DPS. She was returning by school bus on the afternoon of 4 January 2019. After getting down from the bus near Awadhpuri, she was coming home on a scooty with her mother, when she fell unconscious. We immediately took him to the hospital, but could not save him. His postmortem was done in Hamidia. The cause of death was stated to be ingestion of poisonous substance. Can’t believe he must have consumed the poisonous substance. I pleaded for justice from the police to the chief minister. The police did not cooperate. After this complained to the National Commission for Children. The commission asked the police to investigate on several points, but the police did not report even after two years. Then a sketch painting made by the daughter was found. It looked a bit strange. I submitted it to the Children’s Commission. When the commission took it seriously and got the sketch analyzed from Delhi AIIMS, a big disclosure was made. Found out that my child has been physically abused. I have now filed a petition in the High Court and demanded a CBI inquiry into the entire matter. (As told by the victim’s father to Bhaskar)
What’s in the sketch?
In the sketch a little girl is lying on a bed in a room and an angel is flying in the sky. Two hands are coming in from the window of the room and a water bottle is kept in the room. These hands are mixing something in this bottle. For this, drop-drops are visible in the painting.
Police did not send school footage and poison report
National Children’s Commission chairman Priyank Kanungo said that we had sent the sketch to Delhi AIIMS for examination. Where it became clear that there had been an incident like sexual abuse with the girl. The negligence of the police in this case has come to light.
This negligence was exposed
- The one against whom there was a complaint, he was made the investigating officer. Even after two years, the police did not submit the report to the commission.
- If the poison has been confirmed in PM, then the police named it biological poison.
- The police got the house investigated, but did not send the CCTV footage of the school and the investigation report of the poison found in the stomach.
- What were the points of investigation, the police have not been able to tell yet. The analysis of Delhi AIIMS has also not been included in the investigation so far.
If asked for the video of the postmortem, gave a blank CD
The girl’s father told that when he sought videography of the postmortem from the police through RTI, he gave him a blank CD. Asked for the video again for the second time, gave the video in pen drive, but it was half, only to be taken to the gate of the postmortem house. SIT was also formed. The matter is presently in the High Court.
