About 50 families of Vanjarawas vacated their houses.

After the meeting, the rioters threw petrol bombs and stones at the houses of Hindus, as a result Hindu families were forced to flee to save their lives.

There were riots between the two communities in three districts of Gujarat (Himmatnagar, Khambhat and Dwarka) on Ramnavami. After the riots, 144 sections were imposed in all the three districts. But, the riot broke out again in the Vanjarawas area of ​​Himmatnagar late on Monday night.

The people of Vanjarawas area say that the police had instructed them not to come out of the house. But, their settlement was attacked late on Monday night. Houses were ransacked and goods were also stolen. They were attacked by the people of Chandnagar and Hasannagar in the night. The rioters hurled petrol-bombs at their houses, due to which two houses were also set on fire. The attackers had fled by the time the police team arrived.

Basti attacked despite police arrangement
The Home Department and the police swung into action after the Ram Navami procession was pelted with stones in Himmatnagar. Police, RAF and SRP were deployed. A meeting of the Peace Committee was also held on Monday evening under the chairmanship of the District Police Chief and the Collector to investigate the situation and prevent the riots. But, five hours after the meeting of the peace committee, there was an attack at Vanjarawas in Himatnagar late in the night.

Minister of State for Home reached the spot
Rahul Singh Rajput, who lives in the basti, told that till now about 50 Hindu families have left the basti. As soon as the information about the migration was received, Minister of State for Home Harsh Sanghvi along with the police officials reached Vanjarawas and promised the people their safety. At present, tight police arrangements have been made in the area. CCTV footage and other means are on to trace those who attacked the township in the night. So far, about 15 suspects have been taken into custody.

A procession was taken out on the day of Ram Navami in Himmatnagar town of Sabarkantha district. During this, there was an argument between both the sides about playing loudspeakers in the procession near Hasannagar Dargah. The debate escalated into violence and people from both the communities started pelting stones and fighting. Later vehicles and shops were also burnt. More than ten policemen were also injured in this incident.
