An encounter broke out between terrorists and security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Friday.
Security forces launched a cordon and search operation in Hanjin village of Rajpora area of Pulwama district following information about the presence of terrorists, a police official said.
He said the search operation turned into an encounter after the terrorists opened fire on the security forces, who retaliated. Three to four militants are feared to be trapped in the encounter, the official said.
He said that so far no casualties have been reported on either side.
