Emilia Clarke stands in support of Ukraine; People urged to donate to help refugees, displaced families

Several Ukrainian residents have lost their lives after Russian President Vladimir Putin launched a war against Ukraine on 24 February. While several organizations have stepped in to help the country deal with the current situation, several influential figures have expressed solidarity with the people of Ukraine. Hollywood star Emilia Clarke shared a post on Instagram on Friday in which she expressed sympathy for those suffering in Ukraine and asked people to help provide food, water, shelter and healthcare to refugees and displaced families.

The 35-year-old actress shared a picture with her pet Ted in which the two are seen wearing a special T-shirt with the blue and yellow colors of the Ukrainian flag. The Me Before You actress also shared pictures from the sets of her latest film as the film crew also wore the same T-shirt. They all wore the same T-shirts that stood for Ukraine. In the caption, the actress mentioned why she distributed T-shirts to the crew members of her latest film. He wrote, “Ted and I are proud to stand with #Ukraine as the incredible, beautiful crew of my latest project. These t-shirts were the most welcome wrap gift I have ever had the honor to give. “

Talking about the suffering of the residents of Ukraine amid the war, Clark said, “My heart is breaking along with many others, the constant anguish, pain and heartbreak that millions of people are living in Ukraine. News comes out everyday, it may seem overwhelming, don’t know how one person can make a difference in this shocking reality, but, here are some ways to show your support and send some love…”

At least 11 children have died in Ukraine since Russian President V1Dimir Putin started the war on February 24, a Ukrainian parliament official said on Thursday.
