HDFC has announced that it has increased its benchmark lending rate by 5 basis points, a move that will increase EMIs for new and existing borrowers. “HDFC has increased its Retail Prime Lending Rate (RPLR) on housing loans, over which its Adjustable Rate Home Loan (ARHL) benchmarks, by 5 basis points with effect from June 1, 2022,” the company said in a statement. ”
ICICI Bank and Punjab National Bank (PNB) has announced a hike in its Marginal Cost Based Lending Rates (MCLR). State Bank of India (SBI) has also increased its home loan interest rates with effect from June 1, 2022. The bank has increased the external benchmark-based lending rate (EBLR) by 40 basis points to over 7.05% CRP and the repo rate linked lending rate (RLLR) to over 6.65% CRP.

Eicher Motors has been fined Rs 10 lakh by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) on June 1 for failing to do due diligence in a matter relating to the issue of duplicate shares or fresh certificates. According to the order issued by the capital markets regulator, the corporation will have to pay the fine within 45 days.
