Marvel star Chris Evans is set to star alongside Dwayne Johnson in Amazon Studios’ upcoming holiday film “Red One”. According to Variety, the feature project is based on an origin story by Hiram Garcia, president of production at Seven Bucks Productions.
The film has been called “a globe-trotting, four-quadrant action-adventure comedy that envisions a new universe to explore within the holiday genre. Jake Kasdan is directing the film from a script written by Chris Morgan.” Huh.
Johnson is also attached as a producer on the project, along with Hiram and Danny Garcia on behalf of Seven Bucks Productions. Kasdan will produce through his banner The Detective Agency with Melvin Marr and co-producer Skye Salem Robinson.
The makers are planning to shoot the film sometime this year.
