‘Durga idol has been broken in West Bengal itself’, Dilip dominates social media

During the Ekushi election campaign, BJP leaders said that Durga Puja is not allowed in Bengal. This time BJP’s All India Vice President Dilip Ghosh has an explosive claim that the idol has been vandalized not only in Bangladesh but also in Bengal. He brought up the incident at Egra Central Bus Stand in East Midnapore. He even posted on social media. The noise has increased.

He wrote on his Facebook wall, ‘Those who are very concerned about the attack on Durga Puja in Bangladesh, do they know that there is a Pooja Durga idol at Agra Central Bus Stand in East Midnapore district of West Bengal. Some miscreants broke. To hide the incident, the state police and its top officials reached the spot and made arrangements to release the idol. But is West Bengal moving towards Bangladesh this time?” Dilip’s remarks indicate that Bangladeshi fundamentalism is setting in on Bengal soil.

Significantly, the house of a Hindu community was attacked in a village in Bangladesh. In the Hindu dominated village of Naugaon, miscreants attacked. Even after Comilla, there were reports of unrest centered on Durga Puja at various places. There were allegations of breaking the fort and covering it with ink.

But the practice of mixing the events of Bengal with the events of Bangladesh has started going on in full swing. State Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has given a message to everyone to exercise restraint. However, Leader of Opposition Shuvendu Adhikari also supported Dilip Ghosh. He also claimed that this unrest happened and tweeted.

The Leader of Opposition tweeted, “Yesterday during the desecration of Maa Durga, some untoward incidents took place at Karimpur, Nadia, Kulti, West Burdwan and other places. The people of West Bengal want to know why the incident has taken a turn in this direction. State Chief Secretary and Home Secretary, DGP will have to come forward and put the information in the public domain.
