Due to this, emergency landing of Air Arabia flight at Cochin Airport

Following an incident of hydraulic failure from an inbound Air Arabia flight from Sharjah was reported, a full emergency was declared at Cochin International Airport Limited (CIAL) on 15 July. All passengers and crew were safe.

In a message to the media, CIAL said that a hydraulic failure was reported on Air Arabia G9-426, which was to land here at 19:13, following which a total emergency was declared at the airport.

“The aircraft landed safely on runway 09 at 19:29 a.m.,” CIAL said, adding that only towing was required and the emergency would be withdrawn after an endurance period of one hour and 50 minutes.

CIAL said that all including 222 passengers and seven crew members are safe. However, there was no immediate response from the airline.
