Ghaziabad: In Noida, a man under the influence of alcohol on Saturday complained of theft of his car.
According to the police, they received a call from Ashish Kumar, a resident of Bisrakh.
A senior police officer said, “The caller told us that two men on a motorcycle robbed his i20 car from Sector 71 in Noida.”
He said the CCTV footage was scanned to ascertain the identity of the accused. “We could not find any clip which corroborates the alleged incident. After which Kumar was questioned. It was revealed that he had called in a drunk mode, He himself had parked the car at an e-cycle stand in Noida and later drove home in an auto,” said the official.
