With the use of technology for cyber crime and cyber attacks, the dark net in the country is becoming the biggest den of drugs. To track this business on the dark net, crime dealing agencies are going to run a massive campaign to involve youths who can track such activities.

According to the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), 74% of transactions done through the dark web were related to the sale of drugs. Also, 90% of what was being sold in this net world was from drugs. The most dangerous aspect of this black business is that 70% more youths who fall into its trap are those who use technology to get drugs.

According to the NCB, apart from dark net, trade of drugs is also going on through anonymous and encrypted communications, messengers, electronic and virtual payment systems. During Corona, there has been a large-scale seizure of drugs sent through parcels and couriers.

According to the Crime Bureau, almost all technology-related criminal cases are conducted through internet gadgets and their roots are reaching the dark net. It is feared that the use of dark net will increase in online retailing and distribution chain and this will lead to supply of drugs.

Keeping this in mind, Darkathon is being organized by the Bureau across the country. NCB Director General NN Pradhan says that the supply of drugs through sea route and dark net is increasing. We have our eyes on this. Let us inform that last week, NCB busted a big drugs racket and arrested 22 accused.
