Kanpur: The district administration has geared up to launch a campaign against hookah bars in the city.
On the instructions of the DM, ADM City has formed teams of police, excise and corporation officers under the leadership of all ACMs. Teams will take action from Saturday. The action will continue on regular basis in the interval of a few days, so that the operators cannot open the hookah bar again.
“Strict action will be taken by carrying out raids at the hookah bars. Earlier, also there have been a continuous campaign against the hookah bars and drug addiction,” said Joint Commissioner of police Anand Prakash Tiwari.tnn
