Download Instant e-PAN in 10 Minutes: Step-by-Step Process, Verification, Direct Link

Remember how big a task it was to get a document from a government office? Well, now you don’t have to do that as you can register online for many documents including PAN card. Actually, PAN verification can also be done online. To do this all you need to do is visit https://www.incometax.gov.in/iec/foportal/ and find the option ‘Verify your PAN’ on the homepage. After clicking on the option you will be asked to enter your PAN details like date of birth, mobile number and name.

In a recent social media post, the Income Tax Department informed that applying for PAN has become very easy. Those who have Aadhar card and registered mobile number can get their instant PAN or e-paan In less than 10 minutes through the official website of the department. e-PAN is a digitally signed PAN card based on e-KYC data Aadhaar card. It is to be noted that only those who have valid Aadhar card can avail this facility. E-PAN is issued in PDF format. This method not only saves time but is also eco-friendly as it does not use plastic or paper.

Follow these steps to apply for your e-PAN:

Step 1: Open any internet browser of your choice and visit https://www.incometax.gov.in/iec/foportal/.

Step 2: On the homepage you will see an option related to apply for e-PAN, click on it

Step 3: You will be directed to a new window where you will see a hyperlink which reads, ‘Get New e-PAN’. click it’

Step 4: A new page will open asking you to enter your Aadhaar number, mobile number and date of birth. You will also get an OTP to verify your details

Step 5: Once done hit on the submit tab.

Follow these steps to check the status of your e-PAN or download it:

Step 1: Go to the homepage of the website and click on the tab related to e-PAN

Step 2: You will be directed to a new window in which you will see an option which will read ‘Check Status/ Download PAN’. click it

Step 3: On a new page you will be asked to enter your Aadhaar number. You will know your PAN status after verifying it with OTP on your registered number

Step 4: If your e-PAN is ready, you will be able to download the document
