Jaipur: 38-year-old woman working as a helper here Kaveri Path In Mansrovar Was shot on Tuesday. According to the police, the incident took place at 2.30 pm. Suman Devi Identified as Rambir (26) had come to the rented house of the accused.
“The accused, who earns his livelihood by selling fruits, claimed that his friend had given him a pistol to keep for some time. When Suman Devi came on Tuesday, he was excitedly showing the gun to the little girl and the woman. Later he gave the girl a gun to play with and the girl opened fire by mistake. However, when we asked him sternly, he said that he opened fire by mistake in which the woman died,” said a senior police officer from Jaipur (South) (South) DCP (South) Harendra Mahawar. “He was making up stories. First Prima facie it appears that when he was showing the gun, he inadvertently picked up the gun and later opened fire. It is a murder case because the weapon is illegal and we have reported a murder. The accused was taken into custody for questioning and arrested late in the evening.
According to the police, after the bullet injured woman fell on the floor, the accused asked his 12-year-old daughter to tell the police that she had accidentally opened the gun. After the incident, neighbors reached the spot and informed the police. “He was changing his statements from time to time. Now we have to investigate the reasons behind the murder. Prima facie it appears to be accidental, yet we will probe from other angles,” said an official.
