NEW DELHI: IndiGo has taken pandemic-time pay cuts to address dissatisfaction with both new (as) its pilots akasa) and old (eg Air India) Players are on a hiring spree for trained crew members. But now discontent among IndiGo crew has spread from the pilots – who were the first to make it known earlier this year, after which some were suspended – now to the cabin crew. Last Saturday, IndiGo’s cabin crew in such large numbers reported for Air India’s walk-in interview that 55% of its flights were delayed. Other Indian airlines have also started rolling back the cut in Covid-time for crew members.
