Mysuru: Meghala LDeputy Director, District Industries Centre, Mysuruwas arrested on charges of demanding and accepting bribe on Tuesday.

Dharmendra said DIC joint director DK Lingaraju was allegedly caught red-handed receiving bribe at his office on Monday. The complainant had claimed that joint director and deputy director both had demanded and taken the ‘first installment’ of Rs 25,000 from him on January 28. During the ACB operation, the joint director received money. “There is evidence to prove her involvement in demanding money,” he stated.
The officials had allegedly demanded a Rs 1.5 lakh bribe to release the subsidy amount of Rs 25 lakh, the DySP stated.
