Dhruv, Mithila say finishing ‘Little Things’ is like dropping out of school

When the first episode of the rom-com series ‘Little Things’ released in 2016, actors Dhruv Sehgal and Mithila Palkar had no idea that their characters – Dhruv and Kavya – would be loved by the youth so much. Four seasons later, now that the show is over, both Dhruv and Mithila are professionals. The actors feel that the end of the show is like closing the chapter of “school life”.

Mithila said: “Leaving the show is like stepping out of a safe safety net where we have stayed, played and earned a lot of love from the audience.

“You know the feeling of dropping out of school? After 10 years, not all of your school friends will get into the same college and study the same subject… But you know you have to go, because school is over. Gone! ‘Little Things’ That’s it for me.”

The first season of the show was released on Dice Media’s YouTube channel, but from the second season, Netflix bought the franchise and the other three season streams on Netflix.

Dhruv has not only acted as the male protagonist in the show but is also the producer of the show.

For so many years, both the actors lived with characters like ‘Dhruv’ and ‘Kavya’.

When asked whether reel and real life have merged, Dhruv said, “It is quite interesting. Many a times in my personal life I have gone through some phases that the character in the show is going through. “

He continued: “But the point is, in the show, the character has managed to solve the problem and in my personal life, maybe I couldn’t, maybe my friend doesn’t actually behave the way they do.” Shown in the show! So yeah, sometimes the line is blurry, sometimes it’s different.”

As the characters’ journey goes through various phases including long distance relationships, Mithila states that it is “hard to keep up” at times.

Dhruva said: “In the history of humanity, long distance relationships have existed. Earlier, to see your lover, you used to travel for days and months.”

She continued: “Waiting for your boyfriend was always a part of a journey. Now is the best time where you are just a video call away to see your boyfriend, you are never far, because all day long you are one- can talk to another. At the same time, you can also focus on self-development as an individual. To me, the idea of a long-distance relationship is beautiful.”

The previous season of the show also explores the areas of a relationship where a dating couple deals with the question of commitment with a marriage or a live-in relationship.

When asked about her opinion on marriage, Mithila said: “Me and I think Dhruv also believes in marriage. And here are a few things I would like to mention which are very subjective.”

He said: “We don’t want to say that marriage is ‘uncool’, but we may have a modern approach towards it. But we still believe in the institution of marriage. Having said that, couples who It is absolutely their choice to not want to get married and live with their soul mate.”

‘Little Things’ is streaming on Netflix.
