Actor Dheeraj Dhoopar is yet to realize that he is no longer a part of Kundali Bhagya.
Dheeraj Dhoopar, who played the lead role in the popular TV show Kundali Bhagya, is bidding farewell to the show after 5 years.
Dheeraj Dhoopar, popular for his performance as Karan Luthra in the daily soap opera Kundali Bhagya, is now leaving the show. The actor has finally opened up about his exit. Recently in an interaction with ETimes, Dheeraj also revealed his future plans and the reasons behind his exit from the show.
Talking about quitting it, Dheeraj shared that he and the makers of the show have mutually and amicably decided to exit the show. “KB (Kundali Bhagya) has given me name, fame and stardom. I am very much in love with my character Karan Luthra. But moving on from the show was the demand of the script and the need of the hour. The producers and I came to this conclusion mutually and amicably,” said Dheeraj.
Dheeraj also shared that he is grateful to Ekta Kapoor for creating a wonderful character for her. Dheeraj said that his departure is a coincidence that he is getting other opportunities.
Talking about the last few days on the sets, Dheeraj said, “I still can’t believe that I am no longer a part of Kundali Bhagya. The feeling hasn’t subsided yet. Karan and Dheeraj are alike and hence, there is no way that I can separate from Karan. I am saying goodbye to KB with a heavy heart, but like I said, the time is opportune for the show and me to start a new journey.
Dheeraj has been a part of the show for the past five years with Shraddha Arya playing the lead role. The actor further talked about his future opportunities and mentioned that he was trying to get into Bollywood, Punjabi films and the OTT space. Dheeraj also mentioned that he would not leave the small screen for any other medium and would like to be associated with interesting projects irrespective of the medium.
