‘Dharma Sansad’: Two more books in connection with hate speeches, informs Haridwar SHO

Dehradun: Recently, a case has been registered against two more people for giving hate speech against Muslims in a religious parliament in Haridwar.

Haridwar Kotwali police station in-charge Rakinder Singh said on Monday that the names of Swami Dharmadas and Sadhvi Annapurna were added on Saturday in the FIR lodged after scanning the available footage of the incident.

The name of Wasim Rizvi, who took the name of Jitendra Narayan Singh Tyagi after converting to Hinduism from Islam, was in the same FIR lodged on Thursday last week.

An FIR has been registered under IPC section 153A (promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion, caste, place of birth, residence, language).

The program, organized at Ved Niketan Dham in Haridwar for three days from 16 to 19 December, was attended by highly provocative speeches allegedly inciting violence against Muslims by the participants.

At the event, several speakers allegedly made inflammatory and provocative speeches, calling for the killing of members of minority communities and asking people to take up arms and shoot a former prime minister of the country.

The “Dharma Sansad” was organized by Juna Akhara’s Yeti Narasimhanand Giri, who is already under police scrutiny for giving hate speeches and inciting violence against minorities.
