Dhanush announces separation from wife Aishwarya after 18 years of living together

In a shocking situation, actor Dhanush on Monday (January 17) announced his separation from his wife Aishwarya after 18 years of being together. The actor took to Twitter and shared a long note saying that they have decided to part ways as a couple. It read, “18 years together as friends, couple, parents and as well wishers of each other..the journey has been of growth, understanding, adjustment and adaptation…today we are at a place where Standing where our paths diverge…Aishwarya and I have decided to part ways as a couple and take time to understand us as individuals for the better.”

“Please respect our decision and give the necessary privacy to us to deal with it. Om Namashivaaya. Spread Love. D”, it read further.

Aishwarya who is the elder daughter of the veteran actor Rajinikanth He also shared the same post on his Instagram handle. He wrote in the caption, “No caption needed…only your understanding and your love needed!”

This news has really left his fans disappointed. In no time his post was flooded with reactions from fans. One user wrote, “I can’t believe this is heartbreaking.” Another said, “Strength to you!!”

For the unmatched, Dhanush and Aishwarya tied the knot in a traditional South Indian ceremony on November 18, 2004 and are parents to two sons.

On the professional front, Dhanush was recently seen in Aanand L Rai’s ‘Atrangi Re’ Sara Ali Khan And Akshay Kumar, He will next make his debut in Telugu with the bilingual film ‘Sir’ (“Vathi” in Tamil). Apart from Dhanush, the film also stars actor Sanyuktha Menon. Written and directed by Venky Atluri, the film is produced by Naga Vamsi and Sai Sowjanya.

Meanwhile, Aishwarya made her directorial debut with the film ‘3’, starring Dhanush and Shruti Haasan in lead roles.
