No space in hotels, not a single boat is empty
Dev Deepawali, which started by lighting Hazara (one thousand) diyas at Panchganga Ghat in the year 1986, now has a different place in the country and the world. Its importance can be gauged from the fact that not a single room is vacant in any hotel, lodge or dharamshala within a radius of about 500 meters of the Ganga Ghats on Dev Deepawali. Similarly, more than 1500 small and big boats, barges and steamers as well as one seat each for cruises have already been booked.
