NEW DELHI: A highly mutilated body of a 50-year-old woman was found inside a house in central Delhi Chandni Mahal area, police said on Saturday. According to officials, the police reached the spot on Friday after people complained of foul smell emanating from the house.
The body of the woman was found lying in a mutilated condition on the bed. The deceased was later identified as Mumtaz. Police said she lived alone and was said to be a widow.
Crime team was called to the spot. CCTV Camera footage is being checked. Police said that a case of murder has been registered and investigation is on.
