Delhi-NCR: Auto Driver, Men Dragged Woman Passenger To Bushes, Gangraped 

New Delhi: In a case related to crime against women in Delhi-NCR, a woman who was returning to home from Town park in the morning in Haryana’s Faridabad was allegedly gangraped. The police arrested two people on suspicion of raping the woman, officials said Monday.

The victim went for a walk in Town Park, Sector 12, at around 8pm. As per the information, the woman took the auto when she was returning home from the park at 9:45 AM. There were no other passengers when she boarded the auto.

The accused were identified as Vishnu and Saroj. After driving for about 100 meters, the driver let two men sit in the auto while the woman was alone in the vehicle. Following this, they dragged the woman into the bushes near the canal and sexually assaulted her.

Woman managed to escpae

The woman managed to break free from their clutches and escape. She then picked up someone’s phone and alerted the police and her family members.

She was taken to a nearby police station and a complaint was filed against the accused according to the relevant departments of the IPC.

Based on the denunciation, CCTV footage and information from secret sources, the criminal police arrested two defendants and conducted a search to find a third defendant.
