Delhi Health Minister’s convoy ‘forced stone pelting’, Arvind Kejriwal fired bullets at BJP

Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain’s convoy was forcibly stopped and stopped by unidentified protesters in the national capital on Sunday.

Responding to this, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal accused BJP workers of attacking the convoy of a senior leader of his government.

“This is BJP. A party of goons and goons. When they are losing, they show their true colours,” Kejriwal alleged via social media.

Sharing the video of the purported attack, the official Twitter handle of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) also expressed similar sentiments towards its rival party and said that “BJP is losing MCD elections, so they are doing the best they can.” You know – violence!”

Meanwhile, Delhi Police also confirmed the incident that took place around 12 noon and said that the minister had visited Goyla Vihar area on Sunday in connection with the inauguration of the sewer line.

“Adequate personnel were deployed at the police station level for this, though there was no information about the event,” a Delhi Police official said.

After the inauguration, Minister Jain left the venue and crossed the Goyla Dairy drain towards Dwarka, where some protesters raised slogans and tried to stop his car, he said.

“The personnel reached there from a nearby police picket and the protesters were immediately dispersed and the minister left,” the official said.

The official further said that no complaint has been received in this regard.

However, despite no official complaint, AAP leaders have apparently been blaming the BJP and its workers for the alleged incident.

“This is very shameful. The fear of defeat is haunting the BJP. What would have happened to the Prime Minister if what you did to Satyendar Jain would have happened?” wrote AAP spokesperson and MLA Saurabh Bhardwaj on Twitter.

Meanwhile, Delhi BJP spokesperson Harish Khurana refuted all the allegations leveled by AAP leaders and reprimanded them for the “inappropriate language” used by the Delhi Chief Minister against them.

“They were not BJP workers, they were local residents of Chawla area who were protesting against the new liquor policy of the AAP government,” Khurana said.
