Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia accuses L-G of ‘conspiring against’ capital’s education system

New DelhiCriticizing Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said on Friday that Saxena has sent back files related to sending government school teachers to Finland twice, citing various grounds.

“We were supposed to send 30 teachers to Finland in March, but the LG sent back its file with objections. Again, we submitted our reply to the objections, but the LG again sent back the file with a remark that the cost Benefit analysis should be done,” Sisodia said.

“Sir LG! 30 teachers of Delhi Govt were to go for training in Finland in December. You rejected the file twice and sent it back. Each time with new objections. Has a cost benefit analysis been done for LG? Has LG’s advantage? Or loss to Delhi?” he had earlier tweeted along with the files.

Earlier in a press briefing on Friday, Sisodia alleged that both Lt Governor Saxena and the BJP were “conspiring” against the national capital’s education system.

He said, wherever there is BJP government, they are unable to do anything for the education sector including the states where they are ruling for 15-20 years. He said to get good education in government schools.

The Delhi Deputy Chief Minister also alleged that the BJP was trying to use “all its might” to stall the Delhi government’s efforts to send school teachers to Finland for training.

“If you get the cost benefit analysis of LG’s work done, you will have to close the LG office tomorrow…” he said.

He said, “Leaders of the whole country are going abroad. We want to send teachers, so they are stopping us. You have always misused the LG’s office, but we request you not to create any hindrance.”
