Death Threat, Extortion Bid Again: Mla | Gurgaon News – Times of India

Gurgaon: Congress MLA from Badli claimed he received a threat call from a gangster from an international number. This is the second time Kuldeep Vats is allegedly receiving threats. Earlier, a few miscreants had barged into his house in Pataudi, roughed up his cook and threatened to kill the MLA.
The congress MLA, who has a house in DLF -2, received an extortion call on his mobile on Friday. He alleged in a complaint filed with police that the caller threatened to kill him if he failed to pay the money. “The call had come from an international number,” Vats said.
Based on his complaint, a case was registered against unknown persons at DLF -2 police station under section 384 (extortion) of IPC.
Earlier on July 9, five men had barged into Pataudi house of Vats when he was not present at his house. They roughed up his cook and threatened to kill the MLA.
In the past few months, several MLAs from Punjab and Haryana have received threats. The STF had busted an international gang which had issued threats to legislators posing as gangsters. Accused from Pakistan had issued threats to a few legislators posing as gangsters from India.
